We are lucky enough to be located 10 mins from malabar beach, with a delightful light breeze straight off the ocean, through our cafe and in to our beautiful vibrant garden. we tend our garden all year round, and harvest various vegetables and herbs to use in our food offerings.
the veggie patch
Every week we take a look at our veggie patch to see what mother nature has brought us to use, and she rarely disappoints! From sun ripened cherry tomatoes, to plump pumpkins straight off the vine, we try to grow as much of our own produce as possible, to ensure freshness, while maintaining a sustainable environmentally friendly business. We do this by ensuring we recycle all of our unused cardboard and plastic, we use our coffee grinds at the end of the day to maintain the back garden, and of course grow some of our own produce!
Malabar beach is on our door step, and with a newly opened headland walk, there has never been a better time to visit this little corner of Sydneys Eastern Beaches. From South Maroubra to Malabar beach, there is a beautiful and peaceful walk to the tip of the headland and back, with breathtaking views of the ocean and looking up and down the Sydney coast line, with the walk being extended further south soon. It just so happens that The Heritage Kitchen Garden is right at the Malabar end of the walk, so after a nice stroll in the sun, why not pop in to the cafe and have lunch!
